Hello Kitty FUN FUN FUN

I ordered the Hello Kitty cartridge from that wonderful Hallmark Scrapbook place....and I had been so anxious to just sit and do up a bunch of the dies. I haven't made any cards yet but here are some views of the cute dies on this cartridge.

BBTB/Doodlecharms/Bunny

Regina asked us to design with the Doodlecharms cart and to create a little sumpin'-sumpin' with the bunny face. I love this bunny face...and you must go to BBTB and see the creations. Absolutely awesome stuff. I am so proud to be part of the design team. I am surrounded by great designers and wonderful ladies.

I was published again in Ready Set Create. For the Feb/March issue, I am now able to post some of the cards. I love submitting to Ready Set Create. Jen is fantastic and she's right here in AZ too. Here are some of the cards.

BBTB/SYI/Spring

Regina gave us a darling challenge. We were to use the Stretch Your Imagine cartridge, and the word "spring". The gals did a most awesome bunch of cards on this challenge, as always. BBTB/Wedding/PillowBox

This is my take on the challenge from Regina to use the Cricut Wedding cart and design with the pillow box. I don't like doing these challenges because my mind's eye hits a brick wall on what to do what to do. I do love this paper, however..and only for Regina would I rip a page of it from its pack and use it...!! The paper is double sided, and there are about 15 different pages of beauty....Black backgrounds, red poppies, bright white and yellow daisies It's deliriously gorgeous paper. Thru the transparency window you might see those poppies dancing about.

Bunny Challenge/Hallmark

On the Hallmark Scrapbook Messageboard we have the most wonderful fun challenges issued by a bunch of the gals. This latest challenge was to use the Bunny cut from Paper Dolls. I LOVE this cute bunny. Here is my take on that challenge.

Still Sewing...!!

The sewing bug is rampant. A while back I did about 16 embroidery blocks with some Christmas designs. I pinned them together and set them upon a stack of other embroidery designs, with the full intent of making a quilt someday. I decided I would take those Christmas designs and make some table runners, a small table center square, maybe a tote or two.
So that's what I've been doing...and I am happy with what I've finished. I have 4 left and I am insistent on getting them into something other than a silly stack on a waiting table. Here's a few.

BBTB/GoingPlaces/Highway Sign

This is my take on Regina's challenge. I did not have the Going Places cartridge but that sweet Regina sent me a .pdf so I printed it off and decorated around it. I am going to CA on May 3 to pick up some friends flying in from New Zealand. My neighbor's daughter is driving over with me because she met their son when she was in the Orient, she and I will get to stay with my son and DIL, and my friends (named Beath, no relation) will get to meet Brent and Lee...who happened to be able to meet their daughter and beau when they came from NZ to L. A. last summer. How's that for a small world? I am very excited so this card is a take on my pending trip. Please visit BBTB and see those wonderful cards the designers did. Awesome stuff....

As I understand it, I am to post the 4th photograph in my 4th folder. I am not sure if I am counting four folders over or four folders down, but you would have to see my desktop to understand it is plethora of folders. However, I went four folders across and that happens to be my PHOTO folder, and the fourth photograph down is........OMG, there I am.... 25 years old and this was my engagement photograph. Birthdays Galore and Cards to Match

Well, I have a lot of birthday cards this month, so I was on a card making marathon. Here are a few.... Some are just cards, and I hope you like them. You'll see Jane's birthday card with pretty jewels in the flower centers. And I had a lot of fun doing the name on my DS with Basic George. (thanks again, Kris, for making me use it..) The card that has the flower and the sentiment fabric tag is to feature those items shared with me by Krista Norman. Thanks, Krista. What a lovely gift. The really beautiful rust colored paper with poppies and daisies is from that wonderful paper-pack from Michaels. I figured when I bought that pack I would never ever use it...it would lay there, staring at me while I admired it. But actually I did a challenge for Hallmark Scrapbook, used part of the page and that gave me enough to make a lovely birthday card for my dear friend in OH.

Blog Stuff

They call it Blog Candy but in this case it's Blog Fabric. I am placing my sweet Tea Bear up for grabs in this post.

Ready Set Create Pubs

Another wonderful Sampler is out from Ready Set Create. This features Altered Arts and I am so pleased to report that Jen has published two of my submissions. I am on page 57 and 63. These would be a wooden thread spool, and a giant wooden clothespin that Nancy Turnbaugh sent me a year ago and I altered it into a Pink themed baby table decor. Here is the cover of the magazine. Ahhh, I love this cut from Beyond Birthdays. What better advice? Regina asked us to design from this cartridge, and to use the Laugh Often die. Journaling

I am so pleased to say that I have been asked to do some journals for children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer. These journals were so much fun to make and I have different series...some are for children, some even for adults, some have many pages for those who will find journaling soothing and necessary to spill out feelings and thoughts, some have just a few pages. I had some brightly colored wire notebooks that I decorated, large and small, and I made some from cardstock and embellishments. On the inside I have placed lined sheets in most cases, tacked down with additional die cuts.I also got into a big basket that held many journals I made for classes and I donated those as well. Here are a few. Many years ago I did some of my jewelry and cards for the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Support, and I did baskets for auctions at the Golf Tourney supporting the Susan G. Komen Race For The cure. I am so proud to be able to donate my time to this worthy cause.

BBTB/GS/Life is Good

Indeed! ... Life is good! Regina had us create something using the Life Is Good cut from Graphically Speaking card. DeeDee bailed me out by sending me the cuts so a big thank you to her. I must admit I had a total mind blank on what to do but I managed to get something on paper ... The butterfly is attached to a small folded card on the front. Double messages, see? And I added one of those darling circles that say HOPE all around...from ScrapnFonts DB Circles.

Some Sewing Stuff

I have so much fabric and I can't throw away the smallest tidbit of it. Here are a few sewing things...totes with some frogs (left over from the Frog Quilt), totes with dark fabrics and when I was down to a small pile of this, I sew it all together and did one of my fav little teddy bear creations.

Spun-Glass

Sandi (Celtic Woman) shared with me some of her spun-glass artifacts. This card was done in a flash. I ran the front of the card through the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, grabbed up a small strip of stripped paper, added some punch red lips, applied liquid laquer, put them on a circle from Scrapnfonts that says love love love all around, and after I had added a small white ribbon, I set upon the card the sweet red heart of spun-glass (really, it's glue gun gone creative, with alcohol inks to color). Thanks Sandi, I love this heart.

Heidi's new Bakki

I am doing Rag Quilts...so easy to make using my new Accu-Quilt GO machine that cuts the blocks and fringes it. I always do a trial run of anything I do, so here is Heidi sporting her Rag Quilt. And Heidi always apologizes in her photos for having those blazing eyes because her Mom's red eye stuff doesn't work. Oh, and here's a little shot of a baby Rag Quilt.

Hallmark Scrapbook messageboard has a new challenge...to use the Wild Card Cricut cart, and to make a card using the Flower Frame. Here is that take ... I like my pink striped paper above all.

BBTB/Alphalicious/B

Here is my take on Regina's task to us to use Alphalicious cart, and to make something with the letter B. Wow, the girls did an awesome job on cards for Birthdays, Babies,.... fantastic creations from the designers. I am always always so proud to be a designer for BBTB... Please...go see the BBTB site and drink in the wonderful projects. Here is mine.

BBTB/HomeAccents/LOVE

This is my take on Regina's BBTB challenge to use Home Accents (one of my favs) and to use the LOVE word. I love this word!!! I bought Hello Miss Kitty (Bee) Sizzix die and the one heart is a MS punch. I love Miss Kitty....

Hallmark Challenge/Paper Pups/Happy

 

Sharon gave us a Hallmark Challenge and I couldn't wait to get to it. She wanted us to use Paper Pups, and the wagging tail cut on page 106. Wow... I love this cut. Here is my take.

Hallmark Scrapbook Challenge/ZooBalloo/Fox

BellaBug gave us her challenge and oh what fun. I love the ZooBalloo cart and I don't use it enough. Someday I will do the whole cartridge up in cards. The letters for GIRL were from my Ransom alphabet Sizzix dies.
And I always love adding little dots with my stylus and white acrylic paint. The striped arc is one of the chipboard dies that Kris and Deb gave me.
