More Quilts

In that huge stash of fabrics I was given, I found some delightful things.... This little quilt below is a spattering of little pieces that came together to make what I called My Lil' Zoo quilt.  There wasn't a whole lot of the fabric with the cute little animal faces on it but nonetheless I sewed up some squares to make a cute wee-little quiltie for someone....probably a boy since this is in blues.

I found several groups of  fabric "book panels".  Ah, I said, these will make a cute little child's quilt. And then I paid closer attention to the panels.  These were blocks for various Nursery Rhymes.  Each block not only had the page from a Nursery Rhyme book but also the poem.  To say the least, the Nursery Rhymes I grew up with were........ah........not gentle.
Jack and Jill went up the
hill To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his
crown,
    And Jill came tumbling after.

I decided I wanted a cute gentle quilt...so I cut away the rhymes.  Someone will like this, I am sure.
Thanks for visiting....

Someone will love these. They're gorgeous! Someone knew what they were doing when you got your first sewing machine!
