Happy Monday... I am so glad you are visiting me to see the Monday card challenge for the BITTEN BY THE BUG2 design team. Mona, our sweet DT sister, is the hostess and she asked us to design with the word "princess". You may use this word from any cartridge. I do not have a cartridge that had the welded word so I opted to use Blackletter and to cut each letter individually.
Let me admit. I almost opted out of this challenge. I have not had as difficult a time in creating a card in a long time and this one did me in. Four times!.... I made 4 other cards and they were so NOT, I tossed them. This card is the 5th attempt and I have to admit, I don't like it. But I never ever want to miss a challenge so here I am with what could be called a birthday card for a little girl. And as is so typical when things aren't going smoothly, after I photographed the card for upload, after I transferred the photos to my computer and I reviewed them, I discovered two of the little pearls had fallen off. Back to the studio, add the pearls, back to the patio to photograph again... sigh.... Last year in Michaels I was wandering around their dollar bins and I found the jewel butterflies and I bought several packages. I was cleaning the little bins and cups of whatnots yesterday and I found them. I decided to further annoy this card and I would add two. There are mini pearls as well...on the crown and on the lifted sentiment. Everything is embossed as it my usual style.

well I am so glad you kept this on and opted in, just adorable, love the brown with the pink. You do princess in a magic way. Hugs
Oh, Carole, you are way too hard on yourself! I think this is just precious! I love those blingy butterflies and the color combination is very girly and pretty!
You crack me up! Well, I guess we BOTH had a time with this one. LOL Your pretty color scheme inspired me though, or I STILL might not have mine done. I think it's lovely. xxD
This is gorgeous Carole! I bet the ones that preceded it were too. :) You are just too hard on yourself!
It's lovely x
I apologize for choosing a theme that was difficult to create, but I do think your birthday card turned out lovely. I just got those Disney princess stuck in my head because my daughter is all into them right now.
Fab card, Carole. I love how you embossed every little cut on this card. I have two little princesses back in Michigan that I miss dreadfully so I was sorry I just could not get an opportunity to create for this challenge. You would never guess that you had any difficulty at all finishing up such a beautiful creation.
Hello my friend, I so know what you mean when you say the cards are so-so. I do the same thing, when I am not satisfied with a card. Your card is perfect for a little princess, and I love the color you have used. I think we all have those days, when it just will not come together right. I guess that is why I take a break from creating when that happens. It is not always easy to do if you have a challenge do. Love your creations, now try to relax, you deserve it!
Hugz, xoxo

Oh Carole, sometimes we are our own worst critics. I think your card is lovely... the brown and pink is a great color combo and all the texture is so pretty. Those butterflies are perfect! I had to laugh about your process because I have done the exact same thing so many times...back to the patio, back to the computer, back to the patio. I empathize! Hugs, Kathy
I know exactly what you mean Carole! Sometimes I think we are our worst critics and I think I had the same issue as you this week, lol! I love the Pink and Brown tho and you know me love the Bling! I'm going to send mine to my Grand Daughters, they sure will get a kick out of it, I always call them my Princesses!
((Hugs)) Theresa
