I wanted to post these cards. Regina just released a most wonderful set for Breast Cancer Awareness called THINK PINK and here are just 3 of the cards I made from the set. I have many friends who have battled this horrid disease. I printed off the pink ribbons, added the mount to some white Nestie mounts and then I embossed the two layers. I've added MS punch flowers, a few pink gems for the flower centers. The scripted "hope" is from Opposites Attract cartridge and the fancy "hope" is from Storybook cartridge. I simply love these easy to create cards. You must take a look here for the set.

Another Cutting Cafe printable only this is from the Sentiments-Stems and flower tops printables. I found this darling little strip that says I Love You many times just laying in my trays of things to do...and the sentiment LOVE YOU (I think from Stamping cart) and the little punched heart sitting in a different tray. I used my MS decorative edge punch, and brought the elements all together for this cute easy to make card. You can see this set at Cutting Cafe here.

Happy Monday to all....I am so glad you have stopped by. I hope you have happened here from the Bitten By The Bug2 Monday blog hop challenge here. I am first up this day and happy to present my take on the challenge to use the sewing machine die cut from the Heritage cartridge. It's a cartridge I do not have but our talented leader, Heather, shared some cuts with me. She sent two sizes in 3 colors and I opted to use them all. I am an avid sewing-gal and I love my sewing machines. I have so many friends who love to sew and I suspect one of them will eventually receive this card in the mail that basically says "so YOU" but in a slightly artsy form. I cut some black and red papers in squares and stitched them with red thread, I used my Martha edge punches and some ribbon for decorative edges, and I added a few bling-bling red jewels to the black machine. The title letters are cut from Blackletter cartridge.

In the tradition of the month end blog hop, here is my little bit of blog candy to offer up. It's a felt bag that I made, with a pretty red flower and green leaf stitched to the bag. A button is sewn for the flower center and two white buttons adorn the handle ends. It's a cute little bag for a little girl who wants to carry some of her treasures. The little tote is 8-1/2x8 inches in size... Leave me a comment and I will do a random draw on September 30. More Fwoggies...

More froggies.... just can't help myself. This frog was cut from Live Simply, a darling cartridge. My friend Jean loves frogs as much as I do so when I knew she was coming for a visit, I made her some note cards. Still using the papers I got from Die Cuts R Us store. And my Nesties.

Halloween From Cutting Cafe

I love making Halloween cards. I love the images, the sentiments but most of all I love all those bright colors brought together to make a bright and cheery card. Regina's new printables with the Halloween theme are absolutely fantastic and fun fun fun. I printed from the various sets she offers.

First up:.....the Halloween Bingo Card Set. These two cards were just so simple to put together because all I had to do was print off the Bingo Card, add a few die cuts from Doodlecharms Cricut cartridges, and draw a nice big arrow. The decorative borders showing are MS and EK Success border punches. You can see this set here.

I love this set. It's from Assorted Halloween Word Circles printable stamp set and these cards just make themselves with a few little die cuts added. The spider and pumpkin dies are from Doodlecharms, the bat is a Sizzix Original die, and that cute little Candy Corn is a printable from Cutting Cafe that was colored with my Copics. Everything has been loaded onto those wonderful Nestie shapes. More border punches too.
This particular set is wonderful. It has spiffy Halloween images and spiffy Halloween sentiments and I love how the cards fell together. You can see this set right here.

BBTB2/Christmas Noel/Candle

Happy Monday. Today the BBTB2 team presents a candle cut selected by DT sister Sandi Kelly from the Oct 31 cartridge. I do not have that cartridge, but since we can use a candle cut from any other cartridge, I selected Christmas Noel. I really like this little Solutions Cartridge because it has so many beautiful Christmas dies to create with. However, this sweet candle shape works quite well for birthday candles. The papers on the 4 candles came from a snippet of double sided paper in my scrapbin. The cute and colorful striped paper background came from a sweet paper pack that I bought from Die Cuts R Us store here. This is a birthday card for a 4 year old girl. The number 4 was cut from Don Juan cartridge, and all of the elements were placed on embossed Nestie cuts. The sentiment is a Cutting Cafe sentiment from one of Regina's wonderful sets. 35 Celebration

Someone needed a really quick card for a 35th birthday. This is about as quick as you can get. I had the Happy sentiment laying around, I cut the numbers from Blackletter, and the star is a punch with a gem. The card background has been embossed with the Happy Birthday folder.

Cards&Cards&Fun

Recently the BBTB2 team did a challenge with Tags Bags Boxes & More cartridge using the Crayon Box. I liked my results so much I decided to do a few more. I had some 6x6 paper packs with some lovely papers in reds, greens, stripes and flowers so I created a batch of cards using those colorful papers. I cut the boxes in red at 8-3/4 inches and each box accomodates 6 cards with envies perfectly. Here are the cards that use several sentiments. Actually the mounted sentiments were done for my trip to Tucson for the Card Over. I hadn't used them and I thought they should be used for a little something.

Fun Time

Now and then I take a Cricut cartridge and I sit for a day cutting most of the die cuts out. Sometimes I just stack them in a box lid, sometimes I fully embellish them. So...I have trays and trays AND trays of die cuts sitting around. For 3 days I have been in my studio tidying up. Some of the die cuts are going into the packages of dies I sell at the scrapbook clubs, some are being made into "card packs". Here are a few.

I love this little froggy that was cut from Create A Critter. The sentiment is partially done from Basic George and rubber stamping. I love the paper which you will also see on the following cards. I bought several packages of wonderful double sided papers in a 6x6 size along with some of the new wonderful Nesties from Die Cuts R Us store. You should check Claudia's shop out here.

Here's froggy again. I love frogs (who doesn't know this about me, raise your hand) and so when I found this cutie on Create a Critter, I cut many. This is a card pack containing 6 cards. The papers are altered a bit to create a different background design on each card. The sentiment is computer generated. See the black background with that wonderful cut out loopy design? That is one of my new Nestabilities from DCRU store. The flower is a MS punch.
I have a rubber stamp closet. There are tubs and tubs of rubber stamps that I so heavily relied on BC. BC - "before Cricut". I still use them, but perhaps not as much. I love this stamp that says "the best gifts are tied with heartstrings. The double sided papers from the Dies Cuts R Us store are bright and colorful on both sides of each design and I really had to just stop agonizing on which side to use by cutting the paper to the A2 size card and adding a wee strip of another side. I love these little cards. So bright and cheery. The hearts are big punches in two sizes, and I ran the rubber stamped sentiment through my embossing folders.

BBTB2/TBB&M/Crayola Box

Monday has rolled around like Monday tends to do. It's always fun when Monday is the time for the design team at Bitten By The Bug2 to present the challenge cards for the week. Our challenge this week was selected by the very talented Regina. She selected Tags Bags Boxes & More for the cartridge and we are to design with the crayola box. I am sure you all know that Regina started Bitten By The Bug.

I shopped last week at Hobby Lobby and I was delighted to find a paper pack by Amy Butler on sale. Double sided paper too...which is always a two-fer delight. Although I am wild about two sided papers I can go into full anxiety over which side to use. When you are cutting one of the boxes or tags from this cartridge, however, a double sided paper is used wonderfully...I used a pretty floral print with a soft blue for the inside of the crayola box. The box is cut at 8-3/4 inches. I used an oval Nestie, embossed the oval, cut it in half and those two parts plus a ribbon gave me the tied closure. I cut out some flowers on WIMG and popdotted those on the front of the box.

I used one of the tag cuts to create 5 large tags I believe were cut at about 5 inches... That allows the tag and an A2 envie to fit inside the box perfectly. . I used rubber stamp sentiments of different themes, embossed the top or side of the tag, added a wee flower from one of MS's punches and some green ribbon and put those along with envies inside the box.

BBTB2/Numbers

Happy Labor Day to All:

Our Bitten By The Bug2 challenge this week was set by a Reader's Choice. The cartridge selected is Mini-Monograms. I do not have that cartridge but since any one can select a like theme from any other cartridge, I went to my wonderful Don Juan cartridge to create a really simple birthday card for my friend Cindy. Don Juan cut the stencilled letters, and I used the negative part to set in gold stars cut from Don Juan as well. I added a rubber stamped sentiment, and set all upon a card base that has been embossed with the Cuttlebug Embossing folder "Swiss Dots". I added one more larger star, and a golden jewel. I think Cindy will like my simple birthday wishes. Don't forget...you can join in on our challenge. If you don't have Mini-Monogram cart, use any cartridge with the numbers ... join in... we'd love to have you.

Easy Peasy Harvest Day Cards

Regina has a most wonderful set with so many printables to chose from. I am in the middle of some projects but I wanted to make some easy peasy Fall cards to send out in October. I cut out the pumpkins and colored them with my Copics, I printed the sentiments and tossed two cards together in a snap. You can see the set at Cutting Cafe here.

A wonderful visit with my Bloggy Friend

I had a most wonderful and special Sunday because at long last the plans Mona and I had been talking about came to be. The oh so absolutely talented Mona and her sister Tina came to my house for a visit. I was so excited to meet Mona because I have long long been a total fan of her wonderful work. You can see her blog here. Here is a photograph of Mona and me.

I had a little giftie bag for Mona and her sister and wow oh wow did they have a giftie bag for ME. Tina crochets and just look at the doily she made for me. And you will also see the two little crochet flowers that she did for me while we sat and talked. On the doily is a most cherished Mona Card. I am so pleased to have these special and precious gifts.
I look forward to more visits with Mona and her sister and we are talking about doing a monthly crafty get together. Now won't that be just about the livin' end?

It's Monday, it's month-end and it's reveal time for the design team cards and projects from Bitten By The Bug2,and a fun fun blog hop to boot. Penny, our beautiful talented Penny, is our hostess and she asked us to design with the Apron cut in the From My Kitchen cartridge. I hope that you have stopped my way from the wonderful blog of Julie Huxter.

My card was designed totally from the FMK cartridge. I struggle when I pull out this cartridge and I can't even begin to tell you how many refrigerator cuts I tried and tossed, and I pretty much feel the same about the little blue oven cut but at least it made it onto the paper. I cut out 3 cupcakes and the sentiment "Sweets". This scene reminds me of growing up with a Mother who loved to cook and bake. And she always wore a sweet apron. I still have her aprons folded neatly in tissue in my dresser... they are cherished, but not used.

The papers I used are scrapbin grab-ups, and I used an EK Success scallop edge punch. The apron and the sentiment were embossed with my Cuttlebug.

Cutting Cafe/All About School

With school just starting in many areas, cards for that theme are very popular right now..

Regina's printables catch any sentiment and design for school. I literally tossed this simple card together in seconds and although it wasn't much work, I think the finished card is really neat for a student to give to a fave teacher. You can see the Cutting Cafe set here. Everything on this card is Cutting Cafe but I did put a cute little yellow gem on the bee.

Cutting Cafe/Welcome Home

Regina has a darling new set that is filled with wonderful printables I had a wee strip of trees and I wanted to use it on a card. When I saw this set, I knew I was going to make a card using some of the designs from Cutting Cafe. You can see the set here. I used my Copics on the two cute colorful houses and I mounted them on one of the circle CC sentiments. That was cut out with a round scalloped Nestie, Everything has been embossed. That tall house has been popdotted. TFL...

BBTB2/LAB/Flamingo

Happy Monday to all. Thank you for stopping by to view my take on the week's BBTB2 challenge. Our talented design team sister Melissa is the host and she selected Life Is A Beach cartridge and when she selected the flamingo, she asked us to make the cut in anything but pink. Here is my card.

I cut 6 Flamingos. I cut two scalloped mounts, embossed them and lined 3 Flamingos up on each. This is my version of a Flamingo Chorus Line.

BBTB2/JOTS/Cup

Marina is our hostess on BBTB2 this week and she has asked us to design with the cup on page 51 from Joys Of the Season cart. I love this cartridge because it has so many wonderful holiday designs..... ( I think it's time for me to start doing the batches of Christmas Cards I do for people each year as gifties.) I took this design, however, and moved it away from holiday atmosphere and I leaned toward Japanese tea sets with the 3 cups. The paper I used on the 3 cups is from a mat stack called "Hippie Chic" and it was a gift from Kris Lancaster. I have used this paper several times with the Pagoda cartridge and I think it has an oriental feel to it as well as "hippie". Here is my card.

Cutting Cafe/Teacher Tags

Regina has released some more wonderful printables...this time the printables cover a lot of school activities, teacher messages, words of wisdom, grades of all schools... I could go on.

I loved everything in this set. I did grab up the circles in "From The Teacher" and I made some tags which I am going to add to my Etsy shop. When I look at these tags, I can see a teacher giving some to the students for inspiration and support. You can see the set at Cutting Cafe here.

BBTB2/LAB/Lizard

Lori is our BBTB2 hostess this week and she selected Life Is A Beach for our cartridge and the die cut selected is the lizard. I couldn't help but bring my home state of Arizona into my design, I can sit on my porch and watch the block wall fence full of scurrying lizards. My Springer Spaniel dog Brigette used to love to chase the lizards because she felt they were on HER fence. My Springer Spaniel Heidi could care less..... she just wants to come back in the house and beg for a cookie.

Birthday Birthday Me..!

My birthday is coming up on the 28th of July and here comes a wonderful Sandi Made Gift Box...these are always a delight to receive because so much love goes into whatever Sandi creates.... You can see her blog here.

This is a grand view of the box contents. First, one of Sandi's wonderful greeting cards, filled with images, airbrushing, and lovely little blings like the patterned ribbon and the hat pin loaded with lovely beads. A gift in itself is the handmade box that contained a most wonderful beaded Meditation necklace with charms. The box was airbrushed with butterflies and then to add to the wonderment a big embellished butterfly sits atop the card, and then there are my initials, stacked and stacked to make a wonderful depth.

This is one of Sandi's handmade journals.... airbrushed, beset with dimentional butterflies, and of course containing Sandi's signature corners. Inside this lovely little journal are pages describing the meaning of the beads on the Meditation Necklace.
This is the Meditation Necklace. Is this not the most unique and loveliest of gifts?

Cutting Cafe/Word Book LOVE

You might have seen Cutting Cafe Word Book for "Summer" that I did a few weeks back. I love word books and Regina has come to my rescue. This Love book is new in a series of Cousins, Family and Love. I knew that I was going to use the Love book and make that for a new baby boy. Here is a photo of the full book. I used New Arrival Cricut cartridge for my die cuts along with some punch hearts and rubber stamped sentiments. The binding is done with my Zutter BIA and I've tied blue, green and white ribbons on the wire.

This shows the O page... a little Onsie sits on the edge of the O so that it hangs in the opening. I've added a cute little diaper pin as well.
This photograph shows the V page. The paper is K&Co for Boys, and I couldn't help but cut this page using the quilted pattern with cute little critters like this elephant. I added a Onsie and some punched MS hearts.
This is the E page...and I've added a blue checkered strip across the top to present the cute bootie with a ribbon. Punched hearts and buttons sit on the E.

Cutting Cafe/Birthday Sentiments

Here I am again....I wanted to post a little birthday card I made for my son who will turn 41 on July 31st.... I used one of Regina's Celebration Word circle birthday sentiments (I love these) and I added a Base Camp cut number, and some Sizzix candles. Of course the backgrounds are embossed with my darling Cuttlebug. TFL....and if you want to see a wonderful array of birthday sentiments visit Cutting Cafe here.

Cutting Cafe/TeaPotCard

I love anything Cutting Cafe because Regina just knows the best designs to offer, the best sentiments to print and add to a card or even a scrapbook page. I do admit that I don't do justice to her delightful shaped cards because I have such a time of it cutting the image out.

My hands often work against me. But look what I just did with her delightful teapot shaped card. I am thinking of getting Sure Cuts A Lot so I can have the computer do the work but until then...... here is my creation, all hand cut and fussed over. I added jewels along the rim of the lid, I added a burgundy ribbon, one of CC sentiments and a punch MS flower with another jewel. I embossed the teapot with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Inside I used another sentiment that says "Having tea with my girlfriend is tea-rific".

Um Buggin's First Challenge

That dear Lillie of Um Buggin blog (Dzyner's Showcase) has started her first challenge blog .... I just had to get in the fray. She wanted us to design with Paisley cartridge and to use Mushroom #1. I haven't done too much with Paisley but what I have done I've found there are a lot of layer options. I had fun putting this almost psychedelic mushroom together. In the dictionary it describes that as "denoting intense, vivid color or a swirling abstract pattern. Yup! Why don't YOU visit Lillie's challenge blot and join in the fun? You can see that right here.
