BBTB2/Heritage/Tree

A WINNER for the blog candy: I am happy to announce that BeeCherryLady has won the draw on the little handmade Scarecrow bag. Leah, please email me with the deets so I can make arrangement to mail the little bag. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and left a comment. Happy Monday, Happy Month-End and Happy Blog Hopping!....I am first out of the challenge list at the BBTB2 blog, and if you have come my way from there, welcome to my offering for our challenge. Julie , our hostess, has selected the Heritage cartridge and she asked us to design with the curly tree. I cut two samples to make sure the paper and blades were going to behave on this curly tree and once I had everything in sync, I cut a smaller tree and a larger tree out of the brown cardstock. I was very happy when all the cuts were perfect. That pretty entry gate and spooky little house in the background were also cut from the Heritage cartridge while the cat and little ghostie came from Happy Hauntings. The crescent moon came from New Arrival. There are 3 layers of background mounts. The yellow top mount has been embossed and snuggled into a decorative corner on the white layer. The house sits upon an orange plaid Nestie shape. Cute little black cat that sits upon the tree top has a jewel collar.

Now I ask you to hop right over to our newest design team sister, Agnes, and see what delight she has created for you to view. You can find her right here.

Join our challenge. You don't have to have the Heritage cartridge, just pick any tree and make a new card for us to see. Link up your blog post with our Mr. Linky at BBTB2, and be SURE to mention on your blog that you have entered the BBTB2 contest.

Now onto the blog candy tub. I sewed up a cute fabric Halloween baggy for some darling little hands to hold. I embroideried a little scarecrow on the front and the orange checkered ribbon is just perfect for toting full of candies and precious treasures.
If you would like in the draw for the Halloween bag, please leave a comment. I will do a drawing on September 2nd ...so check back after 2PM to see the winning name. If you are the winner please email me as soon as possible so I can make arrangements to mail the bag to you. If I do not hear from the winner by September 4, I will do another draw.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you join our fun fun challenge at BBTB2.

  10. I'm in awe of the creations I just looked at here along this blog hop. Got out my Heritage Cricut cartridge which I've used a few times but nothing like the curly tree. 1st cut attempt ripped when I lifted it off mat and I was being ever so careful. 2nd did not rip but now I have to decide what to do with it.
