Sewing Stuff
I've been sewing and I am working on many things I've taken sweatshirts, cut them up the middle, embroidered on them, added a fabric placket.... and I am working on about 7 different quilts. I am actually just sewing up loads of fabrics I have stashed so anything is fair game. I had a block left over from one of the quilts and this is a quick little purse I made. Can you see the beads I've added? And here is one of the sweatshirts with Minnie and Mickey doing the jig!!! Thanks for lookin'...

Garden Inspired Card/Blog Candy WIN
Carol at www.crazyforcrafting.blogspot.com is having a giveaway...Blog Candy. Wheeeee.... so we are to make a card using a magazine or an ad that smacks us with inspiratiion...so.... The newest Paper Crafts mag is a delight...and it has plenty of cards featuring flowers. I love flowers which that inspired me to make (yet another) card with flowers. And I was instantly inspired when I found this paper sitting separate from the others. It was just waiting....... The paper is Cloud 9 Design, and has a diamond glaze affect on the flowers. I hand drew two flowers, and a leaf, coated them with Diamond Glaze, and set them upon the insert of paper within the oval frame. The frame has been embossed with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots, and I distressed the edges. The sentiment is from my wonderful Xyron Design Runner. So...Carol....here is MY entry for your Blog Candy. Thanks for doing this.
And I won.... and look...this is what I won. Yayyyy.

Published
Well, I am so thrilled to announce that Ready Set Create Ezine published my Heidi Sweetface 12th Birthday layout, 9 of my cards and one Altered Birthday Project. It was a thrill to open their magazine and see my offerings. Thanks, Jen. I appreciated it.
The mag is for sale at www.readysetcreate.blogspot.com. It's a great issue with the Birthday theme and so many talented designers have their wares displayed. And I can say that I AM ON THE SAME PAGE WITH REGINA EASTER. THAT, my friends, is a good thing...!!!

Tagged Again.
Rima tagged me. Here are 7 things to know about me.
1. I love yarns and fabrics and paper paper paper. I love beads. I have trays of them.
2. I design in my head 24/7. When I am sleeping, I am conjuring up some kind of design for some kind of something...
3. I love my friends. I chain them to me. It's a blessed chain though.
4. I whine when it's cold, I gripe when it's hot. I love April. Except for the allergies which appear. Ahhhchoooo.
5. Not that I am pleased to have the aging face looking back at me in the mirror, I am pleased to be almost 71.
I have many friends who were not given this age.
6. I love my dog Heidi Sweetface, brat that she is. I loved all my dogs...Chappo, the terrier mix given to me by my 6th grade boyfriend, Terry. Sharkie, short for Charcola, the black Cocker Spaniel, my birthday gift at age 14. Noodles, a German Shepard puppy that we kept from our litter. That was not his given name. He was actually named Hobo and it was a silly thing that he ended up being called Noodles. Shondie, my sweet Shondie, a little Cocker/Terrier mix who lived to be 17. Then came my beloved Brigette Marie, a doting, playful, precious Springer Spaniel who lived to be 16 despite her blindness, deafness and diabetes with 2 shots a day. and now...Heidi. A spoiled rotten absolutely hilarious Springer Spaniel who rules this house.
7. I talk too much. As if you didn't know that by #6.

100% Original
Aha.... this is my take on Regina's BBTB challenge. We were to use the Printing Press cartridge from Cricut, we were to use the word ORIGINAL"... I was stumped. Oh dear, what to do....but soon I have my papers lined up, and this is the result.
My paper came from MLSB (my lovely scrap bin), and I used my Sizzix Die Cut machine for the dress, shoes, purse, the Cuttlebug gave me a darling Swiss Dots embossing to the white papers. Go see the site at www.Regina-bittenbythebug.blogspot.com.
You'll love the designs.

Card Flurry
A Card Flurry, in my opinion, is when we find that set of papers that have all of our fav colors. So...here are 3 that resulted in paper from My Mind's Eye. I used Accent Essentials Cricut cart for all three, added some sewing, ribbons, rubber stamps, word quote stickers, and some punches, and oh yes, those wonderful little bottles of Stickles.
